FOOTBALL PLAYERS:

FOOTBALL **NEW** PLAYER DRAFT DAY:

Saturday, July 14th, 2018 from 10:00am-11:00am 
inside the WeeBolts Stadium located at 515 N. Main St.
***
All NEW FOOTBALL PLAYERS must attend the draft day***
Players should wear comfortable sports clothes and tennis shoes, as well as bring a small water bottle to the draft day session. During the draft new players will first demonstrate a short series of non-contact skills and will then be assigned to teams/colors during the draft picks. At the end of the draft procedures, each family/player will be notified which color team they will be on for the 2018 season. New player equipment pickup will then immediately follow the draft and players will receive their Weebolts issued equipment the same day. Please see section below about Equipment Pickup and any additional required personal equipment.

EQUIPMENT/UNIFORM PICKUP DATES:
Saturday, July 14, 2018 -- Football Equipment / Uniform Pickup Day
@ at Weebolts Stadium Equipment Garage -- near ticket gate entrance

for NEW  Football players -- 11:00am-12:00pm
for RETURNING Football players -- 12:00pm-2:00pm

PRACTICE START DATE:
Monday, July 23rd, 2018  (Mon/Tues/Wed/Thur/Fri - for first 3 weeks)
Football Practices will be at Weebolts Stadium Practice fields at 515 N. Main Street from 6pm-8pm
Cheer practices will be held at Centennial Park on Union Blvd from 6:15pm-8:15pm

***ALL Football Players*** will be required to bring their completed 2018 GCYC physical form (click link to print physical form) and copy of birth certificate to first practice. These items should be given to the head coach or team mom/parent rep.

MANDATORY FOOTBALL PLAYER PRE-SEASON WEIGH-INS DATE: 
Saturday, July 28, 2018 - Coaches will provide more info on this date/event

FIRST  WEEKEND OF GAMES: 
Sat. August 11th / Sun. August 12th

 
CHEERLEADERS:

Cheer Equipment & Uniform Pick-Up Dates

Please check back to the website in February 2018 under the “Important Dates & Events” tab for updates.
Equipment Pickup Location: WeeBolts Stadium Cheer Equipment Garage (515 N. Main St) near ticket gate entrance.

WeeBolts will check out (“loan”) the following items to each cheerleader:
(All checked out items must be returned at the end of the season)
--Cheer Uniform (Vest Top and Skirt)
--Cheer Warm-up Jacket and Pants
--Get sized for Cheer Shoes (shoes do not need to be returned and may be kept at end of season)

*In addition, cheer squads will require an additional “team fee” which will helps to cover the costs of team cheer socks, team hair bows, end of season party items, game day touchdown treats candy, etc. Cheer Coaches will notify families about the squad fee and explain in more detail during the first week of cheer practice. The squad fee is typically around $100 per cheerleader as a budgeting estimate.

Cheer Camp Week Dates: (all cheerleaders/all grade levels)
Starts Monday, July 23, 2018
Mon/Tues/Wed/Thur/Fri  from 6:15pm-8:15pm

Cheer Practices
Practices will be determined by the Cheer Coach for each grade/color. Coaches will notify their squad of their practice days -- which will typically be held 2-3 times per week following the week of Cheer Camp.

Game Days
Games are held mostly on Saturdays and some Sundays. Start times to games will vary based upon the grade level of team. Regular season games will start the weekend of Aug 11th/12th and go through mid-October. Each team is guaranteed to play in at least one league tournament game and has the possibility of games through first weekend of November if advance in tournament to finals round.



Items Required for First Football Practice

Sports Physical:
ALL PARTICIPANTS (football & cheer) will need to bring a completed physical form with
them the first night of practice.THE EXAM DATE MUST HAVE OCCURRED
IN THE 2018 CALENDAR YEAR (after Jan 1, 2018). Note that most insurance companies
will only pay for one physical a year.

Print off this Physical form 
(click on link above) and take it with you when you visit your child's doctor so they can fill out the information while you are there.

Birth Certificate Copy:
Each football player will also need to bring a 
copy of their birth certificate
with 
them the first night of practice

Equipment Football to buy:

(to be purchased in addition to the Wee-Bolts issued uniform/pads/helmet)
Shoulder Pads 
Football Shoes with non-metal cleats
Mouthguard (can be any color EXCEPT clear or white)
Sports Protective Cup (for males)
Large Water Bottle

General Information and Policies

All HOME GAMES will be held at the old O.R. Edgington school field, 515 N. Main Street, Englewood OH 45322

There is NO SMOKING allowed on the practice field or game day stadium. If you wish to smoke, please do so in the privacy of your vehicle. This policy will be strictly enforced and can result in removal from practices/games.

NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS are permitted on the premises. Anyone caught violating this policy will be immediately ejected and could face possible criminal charges

NO PETS are allowed at the practice field or game day stadium. Any service animals must have proper identification to be permitted.

All NON-PARTICIPANT CHILDREN (non-registered children) must be directly supervised at all times. The Wee-Bolts Organization is not responsible for non-participants while at any Wee-Bolts / GCYC sponsored practice, game, facility, or event.

The Northmont Wee-Bolts are a family friendly organization. All persons shall show respect for others by refraining from the use of foul language or inappropriate behaviors/gestures and shall not exhibit disruptive behavior while at any Wee-Bolts / GCYC sponsored practices, games, facilities, or events. A violation of this policy will result in a verbal warning, and if required following the warning, any further disciplinary action necessary such as ejection from the facility or being banned from a future or all Wee-Bolts events.

At NO POINT in a game shall a parent, spectator, or non-authorized person enter the field of play without the permission of the referees and head coach. Authorized persons shall be named on the official coaches sideline roster.
