It's Bigger Than Football

The Northmont Wee Bolts Football & Cheer Organization realize that there is more to a youth sports organization than great football and excellent cheerleaders!

The Northmont Wee Bolts believe that it's bigger than football and wish to help mold boys and girls within our organization to become men and women who lead by example both on and off the field in all stages of life.

If you witness an "It's Bigger Than Football" event happening, please let us know.

It's Bigger Than Football

10.3.2020 - The Bantam White football team, led by Head Coach Brad Daugherty, dedicated their battle of unbeaten teams to John Wise.  John is the father-in-law of Coach Daugherty and grandfather of Zayden - and is currently battling Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer.  John was in attendance as the Wee Bolts won an overtime battle against Huber White by a final of 12-6.  The Bantam White Wee Bolts wore purple ribbons on their helmets in support of Mr. Wise.  Keep fighting the good fight, John.  The Wee Bolts wish you well.

10.25.19 - Northmont senior kicker Brandon Goodwin has requested 6th Grade Wee Bolt player Aidan Pendleton to walk with him during pregame senior night introductions Friday against Centerville. Brandon and other Thunderbolts seniors volunteer as "mentors" each Wednesday at all the Northmont elementary schools. They buddy up with a sixth grader, eat lunch together, hang out, and interact like an extra big brother. Teacher Jenny Moyer oversees this first-year effort, but, obviously, a lot of others have helped to make this happen. It's been a big hit and a tribute to not only the Northmont football program, but the school district in general. Well done, Northmont. #biggerthanfootball

10.12.19 - During a first round GCYC tournament game between 6th Grade Green Wee Bolts and 6th Grade Xenia White, #96 Amaree Hayes entered the game for the Buccaneers in the closing seconds.  Amaree, who is diagnosed with Downs Syndrome and been on the team for 3 seasons, took a handoff and rumbled 80 yards for the score!  The Wee Bolts presented him with the game ball.  Way to go Amaree!

5.31.19 - The Memorial Day Tornadoes devastated the Miami Valley with 15 tornadoes touching down in and around our community.  A group of parents presented the idea of doing a donation drive and the Wee Bolts family responded in a big way!  Donations were accepted over the span of a few days and everything collected was passed out in numerous communities throughout the following weeks to those in need.  Thank you to everyone who donated time, money, and items!
