Frequently Asked Questions

Association Information
Q:  Who runs the Northmont Wee Bolts Football & Cheerleading Organization (Wee Bolts)?
A:  The Wee Bolts are run by a Board which is made up exclusively of volunteers.  Our Board consists of an Executive Board of 6 volunteers with a General Board of an additional 9 volunteers.  These numbers may change as volunteer positions are filled.  In addition to the Wee Bolts Board, the Gem City Youth Conference (GCYC) is instrumental in assisting member organizations to be highly successful for our participants.

Q:  What Conference are the Wee Bolts a member of?
A:  The Wee Bolts are part of the Gem City Youth Conference.

Q:  Are there required fundraisers?
A:  Wee Bolts athletes are required to participate in one fundraiser per season to help keep our costs low for our families.  Teams often hold additional fundraisers to help cover individual team expenses that help with things like snacks, team socks, intro CD, end of season party, cheer undershirts, cheer briefs, poms, etc.

Registration
Q:  When is registration?
A:  Registration opens in January and runs through June 1 at 11:59 PM.  Participants may take advantage of our early bird registration until March 31 at 11:59 PM to save on their registration cost.

Q:  How do I register?
A:  Our website has a built in online registration program and all registrations are done electronically.  Please visit our registration page by clicking here and obtaining more details.  If you have specific questions regarding the registration process, please email them to [email protected].

Q:  Why do we have to register so early?
A:  We cannot plan out teams, assess equipment needs and focus our efforts until we know how many participants we will have.  The advantage to registering for football during the early bird registration period is to obtain jersey numbers (returning players) on a high quality sublimated jersey, which football participants are able to keep at the end of the season.

Q:  What is covered in the registration fee?
A:  Registration fees for the Wee Bolts cover a magnitude of items including, but not limited to:  coaching certifications, insurance, uniform costs, equipment repair and maintenance, accessories, field maintenance, game officials, utilities and league fees.
